HELPFUL HINTS for your visit
What are your services like?
People describe our church services as worshipful and energetic. Service typically lasts about 75 minutes and
includes plenty of singing/worship, a reflective communion message and a life-guiding sermon.
What should I wear?
When you come to our service you will find people wearing everything from jeans to suits.
Can I take communion?
Again, there is no expectation that you participate in communion as a guest. However, if you want to take
communion at our services, you are more than welcome to do so.
How do I become a member?
We believe that the church is simply a body of believers who have become true disciples of Jesus. If you want
to be a part of this body, the first step is to study the bible to find out what Jesus expects of His followers.

What we Believe
The Burlington Church of Christ is a multi-racial congregation spanning the Burlington area. We strive to keep
its focus on every individual member being dedicated to pursuing and maintaining a close relationship with
God. We believe that Jesus is the only way to come into that relationship with God, and our teaching is
centered on His life, His death, His resurrection, His timeless teachings and His ultimate calling to every man
and woman to follow Him.
In light of the example set by the early Christians, every member of our congregation is encouraged to be
devoted to reading and studying the Bible.
We are grateful for the service of the men who serve as elders of the Burlington Church of Christ.
Larry has been a disciple of Christ for over four decades. He is known as a man of deep conviction and deep
heart who faithfully faces challenges in life with resolve and surrender. He and his wife Sondra have served in
churches in Iowa and Ohio.
Mike was appointed to the eldership in 2008. He and his wife, Lisa, have been Christians for over 20 years.
They epitomize faithfulness, humility, and love. They have served the as Christians here in Burlington for many
years and currently live in Danville. Mike is an engineer for Federal-Mogul.
